Introducing a very special person that was pivotal for the realisation of Ni Wares

Madeline Cardone (@madeline.cardone) is a renowned and awarded artist that we work with very closely.

It all began when Hany Ezzat, founder of Ni Wares, stumbled upon the  work of Charles Spence, particularly his insights in "GastrophysicsGastrophysics" Inspired by Spence's research, Ezzat envisioned a cup that would scientifically elevate the enjoyment of coffee to new heights. But it was Madeline Cardone who would play a pivotal role in bringing this vision to life.

A chance encounter through Instagram sparked the beginning of a collaboration that would shape the future of Ni Wares. Over a cup of coffee, Ezzat shared his ambitious idea with Cardone—to craft the perfect cup for filter coffee, one that would revolutionize the way we experience filter coffee.

Their initial meeting over coffee laid the foundation for a journey of experimentation and innovation. They tasted the same coffee out of different vessels and discussed how different variables affect the experience. Together, they delved into the intricacies of cup design, exploring every variable imaginable—from shape and glaze to texture and feel. Cardone's expertise and creative insight were instrumental in refining the initial prototypes. One of the most significant breakthroughs came with the realization that different rim sizes changed the experience drastically. Along side testing different textures  shapes, materials, and glazes to find the ideal combination.

As they continued to refine their prototypes, Ezzat's remarkable achievement in the national brewers cup in 2022 serving coffee in a dual lipped vessel was a testament to their dedication and commitment to the craft. Inspired by the success, they embarked on the next phase of their journey, striving to create an even better version of the cup.

Through experimentation and research, they discovered the transformative power of color. Drawing from Spence's insights, they made the bold decision to make the cup pink—a choice that would enhance the sweetness of the coffee experience by up to 20%.

Today, the collaboration between Ni Wares and Madeline Cardone stands as a testament to the power of partnership and the relentless pursuit of perfection. Their dual-lipped cup is not just a vessel for coffee; it's a testament to craftsmanship, innovation, and the art of collaboration. Connecting the user deeper to coffee. From the team here at Ni Wares, we love you Madeline
